A budget of $300 is a great budget when it comes to purchasing your first telescope or your new telescope in your collection.

It’s very much the sweet spot price wise because you can get a telescope that can have very good optics with which you can see Jupiter’s rings or nebulae. Basically a telescope that will keep you entertained for years.

Then there is also the option of sacrificing some power in optics for other features that you might find important like more portability or other functions.
