The Celestron AstroMaster 70AZ is a refractor telescope with a 70mm aperture and in mounted on an altazimuth mount. It’s an entry level telescope that has several nice features that make it a great option for the beginner astronomer.
The package contains the optical tube, the steel tube legs tripod with the accesory tray, the altazimuth mount, 2 eyepieces (20mm and 10mm), the finderscope, the correct image prism and a copy of the SkyX software.

Summary
A great telescope for beginners. The 70mm aperture allow you to see crisp images of the Moon along side other popular star gazing objects like Jupiter with it’s bands and moons or Saturn with it’s rings.
It’s main features would be that it has permanently mounted star pointer and erect image optics which makes it useable for terrestrial viewing as well. But I would argue that the star pointer is not nearly as helpful as a finder scope.
One strong point in favor of the 70AZ Astro Master and the Astron Master telescopes in general is the better built mount and tripod. You have less vibrations with the Astro Master telescopes than with the ones from the Power Seeker range.
